Short review
Virtual Run (jog, walk) and Ride in retention or honor of a loved 1! An out and back course that will take you through the rolling hills of Fruitport with trophies for top female and male finishers, and medals for all participates. A downloadable map will be emailed to all registered virtual participates.
Again this year, the 40th Almanac Fruitport Old Fashioned Days 5K run will benefit the Leila & Cyrus Poppen Hospice Residence.
We will be pivoting to a virtual-only option for the 5k or bike ride events this year. Due to the counterfoil of Old Fashioned Days, and all in-person activities we are only able to offering a virtual 5K and bicycle ride this year. Virtually run, jog, walk, or bike between Saturday, May 22 and May 29 (by 11:59 pm to qualify for 5K top finisher).
Runners, walkers, joggers and bikers must register online. Register early as t-shirt sizes are not guaranteed after May 17. Online registration and crowdfunding open up with all proceeds to benefit the community-based Poppen Hospice Residence in Fruitport Township. Since 2006, the Fruitport and surrounding communities take supported the annual event with almost $17,500 in gain benefiting our inpatient hospice programme, The Leila & Cyrus Poppen Hospice Residence, which opened in 2005. Over three,000 patients and families have chosen this their dwelling house at cease-of-life.
